Chester hill community garden covers about 800 square metres and has a small watercourse running through it which, along with q couple of water tanks, provides water for the garden. It has been established for over fifteen years and is supported by the council and administered by the community centre. There are quite a few individual, family and group allotments and these are fully committed as of July 2012 but there are a number of common areas which can be developed into productive patches and allotments do come free every so often.
