Here is a family in Newcastle (Aus) trying to live more sustainably but concerned about the environmental degradation happening in their backyard right now. We need to encourage them and let them know they are doing the right thing!

I have always been interested in small scale permaculture/sustainable living, and this site, run by a friend of mine, has lots of detail on how he lives the permaculture life in a unit in Parramatta. Well worth checking out

Mike Hughes and his wife Lou have a wonderful quarter acre property in Mt Colah, an outer suburb of Northern Sydney. He has rebuilt the house to make it more sustainable and the front and back yard are hugely productive. He has a street library and an F&V street pantry. He has also been involved with a setting up and running the Sydney Edible Garden Trail. He and his wife are busy being the change they want to see in the world!
